Mrs. Hannah Ferguson Dobson, age 86, of Martin, TN passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Diversicare of Martin.
She was born on June 6, 1937 in Fulton, KY to the late Charles Ferguson and Grace McClanahan Ferguson.
Hannah was a member of the Martin Church of Christ for 67 years. She worked for the University of Tennessee at Martin for 17 years as an Art Teacher and she was a great artist and calligrapher. Hannah graduated the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education with post education from Murray State University and Belmont in Nashville. She was also a member of the Tennessee Arts Commission.
She is survived by her children: Michael Lee Dobson of Hendersonville, TN, David Parker Dobson of Martin, TN, Tony Lynn (Darlene) Dobson of Troy, TN and Jenny Ann Dobson of Unionville, TN, grandchildren: Laura (Tad) Brummitt of Knoxville, TN, Lee Dobson of Coral Springs, FL, Micky (Tammi) Dobson of Hendersonville, TN, Lance (Brittany) Dobson of Cheyenne, WY, Parker (Tiffany) Dobson of Troy, TN and Jonathan (Sarah) Dobson of Dyersburg, TN, great-grandchildren: Grant Harrison of Knoxville, TN, Jack Harrison of Knoxville, TN, Emery Dobson of Hendersonville, TN, Cairo Dobson of Dyersburg, TN and Phoenix Lyons of Dyersburg, TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Parker Dobson.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Martin Church of Christ in Martin, TN with burial to follow in the Eastside Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Martin Church of Christ from 9AM Saturday until the hour of service.
