Kay was born the daughter of Derrell and Thelma Hamilton. Kay grew up in the Houston area and lived there for 39 years where she had and raised her two children, Joshua and Lindsay. Kay worked in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist for 25 years. She was very passionate about the patients she helped. Kay moved to the Hill country in 1999 to be closer to her family, and she said she could never live anywhere else again. She is survived by her husband Kenny Price of Burnet; son Joshua S. Slusser of Painesville, Ohio; daughter Linsay K. Slusser of Burnet; brothers Michael W. Hamilton of Conroe, John P. Hamilton of Houston; sister Nancy Ross of Killeen; mother and step-father Thelma and Jerry Ross of Burnet; and numerous nieces and nephews, and a special nephew, Kaleb Dean Lewis. She was preceded in death by her father Darrell G. Hamilton in 1988.
