Dorothy Belle Jones of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 80. She was born December 19, 1931 in Lubbock to James Manuel and Lillie (Elliott) Lambright. Dorothy married Earl Wayne Jones, Sr. on June 12, 1948 in Lubbock. She took great pride in raising their three children, and continued to support them in all their endeavors. She welcomed friends into her home with loving arms, greeting them with a smile. Dorothy enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing every opportunity she had, and being surrounded by her family. She was a member of West Texas Church at the Barn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Earl Wayne Jones, Jr. and wife Lee of Big Spring and Earnest Manuel Jones and wife Joan of Shallowater; daughter, Kathie Orser and husband Tim of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl on February 16, 2004; five brothers, and three sisters.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
