Allan D. Dawson, 57, was counselor at Dearborn Edsel High School at the time of his death, from cancer at his Dearborn, MI home . Dr. Dawson began his teaching career in the Dearborn Public Schools in 1955. He also taught at the University of Oregon and Flordia State University. Dr. Dawson authored or co-authored numerous science articles and newsletters. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, Audrey Dawson-Smith and Cristy Welch; two sons, Britt and Tim, and three grandchildren. Dr. Dawson was my Junior High Counselor and we stayed in touch up till he passed on. He was a kind and gentle man, and truly enjoyed friends and family around him.
