Alton was the oldest son of Allie Brummitt and Mary Erin Brown Brooks. He was in the US Navy during WWII. He made a career of the Navy and was discharged as a Naval Officer. He was the father of two children and step-father to three. After retiring from the Navy, he traveled a lot and made many new friends. Alton was a very devoted son, brother, father, and uncle. He was a very fun loving man. He was always willing to help anyone he could. He died suddenly of a heart attack. His family will always love and miss him.
