The News (Frederick, MD) - May 4, 1938

Mrs. Alice Cross Higgins, wife of James L. Higgins, died at her home in Boyds Tuesday at noon as the result of a long illness.

She was the daughter of James and Sarah Cross of Virginia.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and a daughter, miss Maude Higgins, at home, and Dr. M. E. Higgins, Commander of the Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, N. H.

The body will be held at the Hilton funeral home until 4 o'clock this afternoon when it will be removed to the late home. Funeral services at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. James P. Kerr officiating. Interment in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
