Mrs Florence Emma Godette, 71 of 113 Groveland St died yesterday at 7:45 PM in Allen Hospital. She was in failing health seven years.

Mrs Godette was born in Kearneysville, WV July 28, 1887 and had lived in Oberlin 48 years. She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church and was active in work of the church.

Survivors are her husband John F; three sons, Paul F Gordon, Raymond A Gordon, and Roland M Gordon, all of Oberlain; three dayghters, Mrs Benita G Jones, New York City and Mrs Isabel G Cobb and Mrs Phyllis G Williams, both of Detroit, MI; three grandchildren; three great-grand children; three sisters in Washington DC and a brother in Kearneysville WV. She married Benjamin F Gordon, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on 19 June 1909; and John Franklin Godette in Lorain County, Ohio on 15 November 1926.
