Edward Robinson was born 15 Feb 1737 in Hopkinton, Washington Co., Rhode Island, and died Abt. 1777 in Richmond, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. He married Susannah Rathbun before 1761 in probably Stonington, New London, Conn., or, Hopkinton, Washington Co., R.I., daughter of Joshua Rathbun and Mary Wightman. She was born 24 Apr 1742 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut, and died 1812 in Richmond, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts.

"It is to be observed and remembered that the reason why the within inventory was not taken sooner after the decease of Edward Robinson, late of Richmond was because of continual alarms and great distress caused by the enemy and the militia all most all called away for the defense of the country.

To Susannah Johnson the said deceased Widow we set off for her Dower or thirds one half the dwelling ( description of land)
Also a tract of land adjoining the house (description of land)

To Edward Robinson oldest son of the said Edward Robinson deceased we assigned one half the Dwelling (describing one half the dwelling and buildings)also a tract of land adjoing the barn (description of land)

To John second son of the said Edward Robinson deceased we assigned a tract of land (description of land)

To Waitstille fourth son of the said Edward Robinson deceased we assigned a tract of land (description of land)

To David third son of the said Edward Robinson deceased we assigned a tract of land (description of land
