Mrs ABBOTT, 78, Taken By Death
Mrs Sallie TIMS ABBOTT, 78, of Seneca, died Thursday following several months of declining health and a brief critical illness. She was a native of Oconee county, the daughter of the late Jesse T and Harriet Vinney OWENS TIMMS. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Seneca Legion Auxiliary. Her husband, J B ABBOTT, died in 1963. She was the last surviving member of her family, and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home Saturday by Rev S A Phillips. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Harold ABBOTT, Corky MAULDIN, Jess WADE and Boyce TIMMS, Dana MOORE.
