Eva P. Bayo, age 98, of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Hayward Nursing Home.
Eva Pauline Turnbull was born October 9, 1912 in Standish, MI the daughter of Emery and Rose (Pekuil) Turnbull.
She was raised in the Hayward area and attended the Jackson School that was located on Twin Lakes Road in Hayward. Eva worked various jobs until she went to work for Acme Steel where she was a lumber sorter. She worked 26 years for Acme Steel/Hayward Dimensions until her retirement in 1976. Eva enjoyed to garden for flowers and vegetables and to decorate her home for the holidays. She was a colorful, feisty and independent woman who was dearly loved by her family.
Eva is survived by her two sons, Howard (Kay) Sieh, Gary (Wendy) Wise, both of Hayward; four grandchildren, Sonya (Rob) Mahlum of Holmen, WI, Eric (Ann) Sieh of Kotzebue, AK, Travis (Lisa) Wise of Scottsdale, AZ, Brooke (Jerrod) Dahm of Cadott, WI; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Clute of Hayward; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Harry, Arthur, August, Emery and Clarence; and one sister, Amelia Olson Bralick.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, at Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home in Hayward with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. A time of gathering with family and friends will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be designating a charity at a later date.
