PERCY - Richard Wayne Deppe, 77, passed away at 1:17 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with the Rev. Steve Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Percy Village Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Assembly of God Church in Percy.

Mr. Deppe was born May 18, 1930, to Ernest and Ruth Steele Deppe.

He married Floretta A. Westbrook on March 20, 1980, in Chester.

He was a retired machine operator from ICG Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Flo Deppe of Percy; son, Marion Deppe of Percy; daughter, Marty Young and husband, Brad, of Cutler; stepson, Keith Anderson and wife, Jennifer of Ava; stepdaughters, Julie Volkman and husband, Curt, of Ava and Angela Dunning and husband, Bruce, of West Frankfort; eight grandchildren, Jane Corbin and husband, Tim, Jessie Deppe and wife, Stacie, Lee Reinhardt and wife and family, Shane Reinhardt and wife and family, Bryan Allard, Michella Allard, Emily Hornbostel and husband, Shawn and Tracy Turner and husband, Billy; three stepgrandchildren, Rachel, Rick and Stacey Hart; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Deppe and wife, Faye, of Percy; sisters, Marian Svanda of Pinckneyville, Blanche Rees of Steeleville and Jewell Middendorf of Percy; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; good friend, Maudie Deppe of Percy; brothers-in-law, John Westbrook and wife, Valerie, of Richmond, Ind., and Adrian Westbrook of Jonesboro; and sister-in-law, Louise Glascow of Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Catherine Epplin; one sister, Ruby Bierman; one brother, Roy Deppe; and two nephews, Jim Deppe and Gary Middendorf.
