PERCY – Jewel I. Middendorf, 93, of Percy passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, Illinois at 6:15 PM.

Jewel was born on November 10, 1926 in Percy, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Ruth Steele Deppe. She married Herman A. Middendorf on July 15, 1945. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1996.

Jewel is survived by her children: Brenda (Richard) and M. (C.) Middendorf, both of Percy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: along with 12 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Jewel was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Gary, 3 brothers, Roy, Wayne and Dale Deppe and 3 sisters, Ruby Bierman, Marian Svanda and Blanche Rees.

Phase 4 Guidelines will be in effect, which allows 50 attendees at one time, using social distancing guideline and facemasks.
Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Percy Village Cemetery.
Burial will follow. Visitation will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Steeleville, where friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM.
