MILDRED M. ASH
Funeral for Mildred M. Ash, 80, of Rt. 1, Graford, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, with Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ash died 2:35 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in a local hospital. She was born March 9, 1908 in Alvarado, the daughter of Tresvant Carl and Marietta Wallace McPherson. She and Walter M. Ash were married May 1, 1931 in Dallas. She moved to Graford in 1947. She and her husband owned and operated the Ash Drug Store in Graford since 1954. She was a 50 year member and grand committee member of the Graford Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 905 and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Walter M. Ash of Graford; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Rowena Ash of Mineral wells; grandchildren, James Walter Ash of Mineral Wells and John and Melinda Carolyn Ash Thomas of Millsap; brother Tresvant Carl McPherson of Fort Worth; sister Mavis Henry of Arlington; six nieces and nephews, Leland and Lynda Benefield of Fort Worth, Aadu and Mary Sue Karema of San Diego, Calif., and Jim and Lou Nan Henry of Grand Prairie; grandnieces and grandnephews, Clifford and Lesa Shriver of Abilene, Jeff and Laura Geyer of Fort Worth and Melanie Henry of Grand Prairie; great grandniece Ashley Shriver of Abilene.
She was proceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Ash.
