Kemmie was the 12th child of Simon and Jane Roberts. She was born on February 13, 1884 in the town of Lockhart, Texas where she grew up and attended school.
During her early childhood she professed a hope in Christ and joined a church in Lockhart, Texas. She continued to live in this area into adulthood.
In later years, she was united in marriage to Robert Dobbins. Mr. Dobbins died at a young age.
In the year of 1912, Kemmie moved from Texas to Tullahassee, Oklahoma with her sister Lena Crenshaw.
On July 2, 1913, Kemmie was united in marriage to Mr. David Smith Wilburn. To this union six children were born.
Kemmie slipped quietly away on June 2d at
4:30 PM to join her parents, sisters, brothers, four children (three sons, one daughter) and two grandchildren.
She leaves to mourn her passing, four devoted daughters, Mrs. Blanchie Gunn, Bakersfield, California; Mrs. Oletha Smith, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Frankie Wilburn, Pasadena, California; and Mrs. Oretha Wallace, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two devoted sons-in-law, 21 devoted grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren, and ahost of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
