Addie Almada (Rough) Kring, age 88, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away in her home on Jan. 22, 1970.

Addie was born March 18, 1883, in South Bend, In., the daughter of Henry S. and Susan H. (Sellers) Rough, of Wakelee, Michigan.

On June 7, 1903, in South Bend, In., Addie married Arthur James Kring, of Portage Twp., St. Joseph County, In… The son on William and Matilda (Gindlesberger) Kring, of Portage Twp., St. Joseph County, Indiana.

Like most people in the early 20th Century, The Kring's made their living by farming. Addie and Arthur were living on the Rough farm with Addie's parents. Arthur would help Mr. Rough work his homestead. Arthur by trade, was also a carpenter. When work was caught up on the farm, Arthur would do carpentry work for his neighbors and for people in town.

From the marriage of Addie and Arthur, seven children were born:
