She later met Joseph P. Russell 1st. who had 3 boys and had also lost his wife and she was buried at sea on the Voyage to America.
Jane and Joseph P. Russell 1st. later married in Clinton, Iowa on Feb. 15, 1853. And later traveled on west to the Columbus, Nebr. area where they ran a boarding house called the "Russell House" or "Russell Ranch" and furnished meals and supplies to travelers going west and coming back East from the West on the Oregon trail & the Mormon Trails along the Platte River. To this Marriage, 3 more boys were born, the first of which is Joseph P. Russell 2nd., My Grandfather.
We think that there is a good possibility that Jane is buried beside her husband, Joseph P. Russell 1st., in Palestine Cemetery near Hickman Mills, Mo. and that her grave marker was removed by vandals some time ago.
