Emma Beatrice Aughtry, 93 of Greenville passed away September 23, 2011 at Legends Nursing Home in Greenville, TX. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gary Herbst officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Aughtry was born on February 15, 1918 in Norfolk, Virginia to Frank A. and Zella Hubble Beard. She married William Capers Aughtry, Sr. on March 27, 1934. Mrs. Aughtry was a Cradle Episcopalian. She was a homemaker and also retired as the Granny at Grandy's. She was a Multiple Sclerosis Volunteer of the North Carolina Chapter.

Mrs. Aughtry is survived by her son William Capers, Jr. and wife Marie Hammond-Aughtry, Marsha Ann Aughtry of Atlanta, Georgia, grandchildren, William Capers III and his wife Theresa Boak- Aughtry, Michael Scott and wife Patti Neel- Aughtry and Sherry Aughtry Henry, great-grandchildren, Michael Scott Aughtry, Jr., William Capers IV and wife Rachel Gaddie-Aughtry, Rebekah Aughtry- Toliver and husband Christopher, Christopher Rhett Henry and Robert Brett Aughtry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, brothers, Carl Beard, Milton Beard, Frank Beard and sister Audrey Beard Falos.
