Marsha Ann Aughtry of Tucker, GA died February 9, 2018. She was born in Norfolk, VA. on January 15, 1936. Marsha was a graduate of the University of Georgia and taught in the DeKalb County School System for 39 years. Marsha and her parents were charter members of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. Throughout the years she taught Sunday school, served on the Vestry and Altar Guild, and was treasurer of the Episcopal Church Women.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents William C. Aughtry Sr. and Beatrice Beard Aughtry, and her brother William Aughtry Jr.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Marie Aughtry; nephews William Capers Aughtry III and wife Theresa, and Michael Scott Aughtry and wife Patty; and niece Sherry Aughtry Henry. Also left to cherish her spirit is her close friend Sandy Souther.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 15 at 1:00 pm at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 1790 LaVista Road, Atlanta, GA. 30329. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew's Memorial Garden, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew's or the Humane Society. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
