Leona Miller Dies Saturday at Residence (Obit)
Mrs. Leona M. Miller,- 72 of 414 West Ninth Street, Bicknell, Indiana, died at 2:44 pm Saturday at her redidence.
A resident of Bicknell since 1968, she was a former resident of Long Beach and Venice, California.
She was born April 25, 1901, near Knightstown, Indiana. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Whitaker.
She was married to Harry B. Miller in 1944. He survives.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the St. Phillip Neri Church, Bicknell Senior citizens Center, Bicknell American Legion Auxiliary and Bicknell V.F.W. Auxiliary. She served in the women's Army Corps during World War II.
Surviving besides the husband, is a brother, Wilford Whitaker of Indianapolis, and a sister Mrs. Nellie Jessup of Knighstown.
Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
The body is at the McClure funeral home in Bicknell where friends may call after 7 PM this Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday from the McClure Chapel with Rev. Hilary Vieck officiating. The body will be taken to the Butcher funeral home in Knightstown where friends may call after 10 am Wed. and where funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wed. with burial in the Glen Cove cemetery at Knightstown.
