Simon P. Ackerman, 61 Meyersdale, RD 2, died Dec. 13. Born Oct. 25, 1906, he was the son of Charles and Emma (Deal) Ackerman. He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Schramm, and the following children: Mrs. Ida Mae Keith, Elwood City; Simon, Jr., Mrs. Ellen Hutchinson, Charles, Mrs. Peggy Reynolds, Linda, Ronnie and Donnie, all of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Mildred Hutchinson, Berlin RD 2. He was a brother of Emmett, Meyersdale, and Paul Ackerman and Mrs. Stella Swauger both of Canton, Ohio. Funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 15, with Rev. Clark Fait officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.
