Evelyn, 95, passed away at 9:57 a.m., at her son's home.


She was a daughter to Alfred S. and Ina E. (Bishop) Warren. On Jul 2, 1952, she married Roger I. Smith, who preceded her in death.


Surviving are a son, Jay R. (Ruth), Cridersville; a daughter, Nancy L. (Donald) Jones, Lima; twelve grandchildren, Rebekah (Kevin) Deitering, Sarah (Zac) Leland, Samuel Smith, Jason (Elizabeth) Smith, Joshua (Kate) Smith, Daniel Smith, Greg Jones, Anthony (Barbra) Jones, Ray Cairelli, Michelle (Greg) Head, April (Edwin) Santiago and Amy (Karl) Miller; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret Warren, Massillon, and Peggy Warren, Rawson.


Deceased are three brothers, Serge, Doyle and Kenneth.


She retired in 1987 as an office manager from Lima Armature and had also worked at Lima Electric Motors. She was a 1934 graduate of Ottawa High School*. She was a member of Epworth/Family of Faith United Methodist Church since 1952, where she served on several committees and had been a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and watching college basketball.


Services are at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Loescher officiating.
