Mrs. Comstock d. 1842?, buried Wolf River Cemetery at future Bayne's Crossing. If date is correct, the Comstock's were perhaps traveling on the Council Bluffs Trail. First known emigrant party (excepting Marcus Whitman Party of 1834) to cross Doniphan County was the Cornelius Gilliam Co. of 1844. (Gray)

Medad was born on 11 August 1763 in Williamstown, Berkshire, MA. He married Eunice Elizabeth Lamb on 30 April 1783. His death occurred on 28 December 1842 in Lee Center, Oneida Co., NY at age 79 years, 4 months and 17 days. Eunice Elizabeth was born 1 October 1766 in Pomfret, Windham, CT, daughter of Thomas and Deborah Lamb. She died on 25 June 1834 in Westernville, Oneida Co., NY at 67 years, 8 months and 24 days.
