Fonda Williams Giles, 67, of Elkton, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Giles was born on Dec. 14, 1943, in Elkton, Va., and was a daughter of Hazel Breeden Williams and the late Russell Williams.
Fonda was a homemaker and enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon in NASCAR Racing, watching the Dallas Cowboys play, and being outdoors fishing.
On Dec. 12, 1977, she married Phillip Wayne Giles, who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2011.
Fonda is survived by five sons, Samuel "Buck" Roach of Strasburg Va., Justin "Bubba" Correa of Elkton, Va., Carl "Butch" Deaton of Valdosta, Ga., Michael Giles of Atlanta, Ga., and Dennis Deaton of Luray, Va.; seven daughters, Theresa "Terri" Roach of Shenandoah, Va., April Cubbage and husband, Ronnie, of Stanley, Va., Alkini Williams and husband, Curtis, of Nokesville, Va., Olivia Meadows and husband, Jared, of Elkton, Va., and Jasma Bowman of Elkton, Va., Maureen Giles Estes of Front Royal, Va., and Robin Huffman of Strasburg, Va.; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Harvey Williams, Johnny Williams, Jonathan Williams and Randolph Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Williams.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at the Kyger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Kite officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
