S/O Nathaniel & Elizabeth (Richwine) Ames. Died young and is buried in Brown Cemetery, just west of Bryan, OH.
***Patty's note: Williams Co, Center Twp, Brown Cemetery Record books record a death inscription of 1 yr, 1 mo & 9 days, however, I think that is incorrect and should read 4 yrs, 4 mo & 3 days. The 1860 census lists him as 2 years old and the "History of Williams Co, OH, 1980, Vol II", (page 425) has his dates listed as 15 Jan 1858 - 18 May 1862 and says he died of diptheria. (Often the numbers 1 & 4 and the numbers 3,6,8,9 are mis-transcribed from tombstones because the stone has chipped off in the centers of these numbers)
