S/O John (Jr) and Sarah (Stauffer) Ames. H/O Elizabeth Richwine. They were married 15 Jan, 1857 in Wooster, Wayne County, OH. They had 5 sons, the oldest, Horace, only lived to be 1 year old. The other four boys are: Irvin Austin, Eli Ashley, William Elbridge & Oliver Charles (known as Charles). Nathaniel's obit from the "Bryan Democrat" 10/22/1896, says "he moved to Williams County in 1858 where he had lived most of the time since".
