Eldon C. Mayes, 80, Wichita, Kan., died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001.
Mr. Mayes was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Stanley, and was the son of the late Amos Mayes and Leona Price Mayes.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Mayes; two sons, Michael Mayes and Richard Mayes, both of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Roy L. Mayes, Port Republic, and Aaron Mayes of Stanley; and a sister, Rena Mayes Craddock of Stanley.
Private services was held.
