Josie Little Bowden, born Oct 2, 1853, has a CSA widow's pension application on line in the Georgia Archives Virtual vault. She says her husband, Cornelius C. Bowden, enlisted in 1862 in Greene County, GA with Company F of the 7th GA Cavalry. He was wounded, captured and recaptured, but served until his unit surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse. She shows proof of marriage in Putnam County, GA on 31 March 1870 and states he died on 20 March 1918 in Athens, GA.
