GREENSBURG, KS - John Thomas "Tom" Brower, 65, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born April 14, 1946, in Chanute, Kansas, the son of Le Roy "Roy" and Nellie Catherine (Bower) Brower.
He graduated from Moran High School in 1964.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1966, and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
On July 10, 2001, Tom married Linda Ahrens in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.
Other survivors include, three daughters, Angela R. Brower and Karen R. Brower, both of Wichita, KS, and Janelle Hickey and husband Roger of Great Bend, KS; and a brother, Ron and wife Kay Brower of Girard, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, David Michael Brower in 1994.
Funeral and celebration of Tom's life will be Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, Greensburg, Kansas, with Pastor Marvin George officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association and the Kiowa County Veterans Memorial, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main, Greensburg, KS, 67054.
