Mrs. Eva Freeman, 83, funeral will be held Sunday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery. She died early Thursday at her home in Norfolk from the effects of a stroke. She had been sick since Sunday. She was born Dec. 9, 1868 at Ashland to Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ward. She was married on March 28, 1885 to Lum Freeman. They had 2 daughters and 2 sons. She was survived by 1 daughter Mrs. Stella Mahoney in Colorado, 2 brothers: Steve and Lawrence both at Ashland; 1 sister Mrs. Lillie Landers in Colorado, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, 1 daughter.
