Janet H. Austin, 71, of Old Oneida Road, Verona, passed over on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. She was born April 11, 1940 in Roxbury, NY, the daughter of Arnold and Jessie Bound Conklin. Janet attended Grand Gorge School and moved to Rome in 1959. She married David H. Austin in Niagara Falls on July 16, 1960. They've lived in Verona since 1963.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Michael Mroczek of Canastota; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Karen Austin of Verona; also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; and four sisters, Doris Kasmer, Oregon, Arita Jaeger, Florida, Regina Garber, Rome, and Kay VanValenburg, Plattsville, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Arnold Conklin.
