Agnes Ach, the daughter of Joseph Vejraska and Marie Vejraska, was born November 12, 1887, in a sodhouse in Fillmore county, Nebraska, on a farm two miles west and one half mile south of Milligan. She was reared on the farm on which she was born.

January 6, 1910, she was united in marriage to Vaclav (James) Ach. To this union were born three children; Joseph of Friend, Vaclav (James) Jr. of Temple, Tex. and Ann Russell of Kennewick, Wash.

After her marriage to Vaclav Ach, they began to farm in the spring of 1910. Inasmuch as there were no sons born to the Joseph Vejraska family, she assisted her father with the farm work. After her marriage, she did farm work with her husband and continued to do so until their sons were able to assist. Later, in the early 30's, she and her husband turned the farming over to their son, James and engaged in business at Milligan, where she assisted her husband until their retirement in the early 50's.

As a child she was anxious to get more education but this was denied her and it was always her hope that her children would be able to get the benefit of a much better education than she was privileged to acquire.

she was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge in which she took an active part as long as she was able. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters as well as the Culture club and other community organizations.

Among her ambitions was to see Niagara Falls and to visit Czechoslovakia. These dreams came true in 1926, when she and her husband went to Czechoslovakia to take in Sokol Gymnastic meet held in Prague. while there, she and her her husband visited her husbands parents, four brothers and their families On their way to the east coast, they stopped and took a tour of Niagara Falls.

She was a loving wife and mother, always taking care of her family and whenever possible assisted good friends and neighbors. She faithfully attended her husband during his many years of illness until his death in 1955. She also assisted in taking care of her sisters until her doctor advised her that her health would not permit hr to continue. After her husbands' death, she continued to live by herself in her modest home at Millligan and on various occasions, spent some of the winter months with her daughter, Ann Russell at Kennewick, Wash. or her son, James at Temple Tex.

She died October 29, 1967 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital at Pasco, Wash. after an illness of several weeks at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 17 days. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Vaclav, her parents and her four sisters. She leaves her sons, Joseph of Friend, Vaclav (James ) of Temple, Tex., daughter Ann Russell of Kennewick, Wash. also six grandsons, Bernard J. and Howard F. Ach of Friend, John , Albert and Frank Ach of Temple, Tex and Frank Russell of Kennewick, Wash; also five great-granddaughters. She also leaves to mourn her passing a host of relatives and friends.
