Mrs. Rosie Sadlo died at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning, January 16, 1945, at her home two miles west of Milligan at the age of 51 years, 6 months and 5 days. She died on the same day of the month that she gave birth to her second son, Jerry, thirty-one years ago.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Joseph Sadlo, and five children, three sons, Rudolph, Jerry and Joe, all of Milligan and two daughters, Mrs. John H Stewart of Friend and Rose Marie of Milligan; four grandchildren from two to six years of age; four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Kunce, Mrs. Vaclav (Anna) Capek, Mrs. Mary Brejcha and Mrs. Agnes Ach, all of Milligan and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Milligan Auditorium Thursday, January 18, at 2 p.m. with Rev. K. O. Zadadil of Wilber officiating, and Mrs. Herman Michl and Mrs. James Hamouz rendering the song service. She was laid to rest in the south cemetery.

December 17, 1910, Rosie Vejraska, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vejraska, was united in marriage to Joseph Sadlo at Geneva by Judge W. R. Fulton.

Her parents preceded her in death, her mother in 1932 and her father in 1936.

Mrs. Sadlo died after a heart illness of twenty-one years, the past ten years of her life being bedfast. She was a devoted and ideal wife, mother and grandmother and no hardship or sacrifice was too great for her. She was a person of great patience and understanding, also an ardent lover of nature and she derived a great deal of pleasure, from it, especially from flowers. Although bedfast, she was always industrious and spent a great deal of her time in embroidery and sewing. She will long be remembered for the beautiful works of art she left behind in this style of work. her latest feat being the making of dolls, stuffed toys and corsages.

She built her life around her family and always put their joys ahead of hers. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her and by those who came in contact with her. Physically she has left us but the memory of her will always remain.
