Amy Kathryn Banks, 100, Nevada, died Tuesday of a heart ailment at Story County Hospital Long Term Care Unit, Nevada. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
Amy Tillotson was born in Story County to William and Lydia Bell (Yaxel) Tillotson. A lifelong Nevada resident, she married Howard Banks on July 5, 1919, in Boone. She worked as a homemaker, and was a member of Nevada Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; three sisters; and her husband.
Visitation will be held Friday from noon to 8 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
