A life-long resident of Carlyle, Illinois, Olive married Yvon Hawley June 20, 1940 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carlyle. They are the parents of six children, four daughters and two sons.
Olive worked as a receptionist for Dr. Bateman in Carlyle for a number of years. She was a member of the St. Ann Alter Sodality of the church, and Catholic Knights and Ladies of Illinois. A devoted mother and grandmother, she had 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild at the time of her death. Olive passed away in St Elizabeth's Hospital at Belleville, Illinois. She was 70 years old.
