Funeral services for Maggie Tannehill, 90, of Theodosia were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Gainesville with Jimmie Friend officiating. Burial wa in the Lutie Cemetery in Theodosia.

Mrs. Tannehill died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27m 2000, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Peel, Ark., the daughter of John William and Oley (McPherson) McGowne. On Feb. 13, 1930, she married Hobert Tannehill in Lutie.

She was a life long resident of Theodosia, She was a housewife and a member of the Salem General Baptist Church.

She was a cook at several Restraunts in the area, and cooked for the Lutie School for several years.

Mrs Tannehill is survived by a daughter, Jody Miller of Prairie Village, Kan. Two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, John McGowne and Bud McGowne, both of Coos Bay, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert, and a daug., Virginia Maude Reich, and son Gary Lynn Tannehill. Her parents, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearer were Hershel Myers, Dean Hughes, Paul Thornton, Mackie Hampton, Arthur Stehle and David Hamilton.
