Mrs. Margaret E Akes 85, Rt. 4 passed away in New London on Sunday following a lingering illness. She was born May 4, 1888 in Scott county
Kansas. She had been a resident of Centerville, Iowa until three and a half years ago, and since that time had made her home with her daughter in New London.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie W. Corporon, Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Juanita) Strink, New London, a brother, Noah Lawson, Moulton, Iowa; a grandchild, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cline and Hanson Funeral Home with Rev. David Pestel and Rev. Gerben Veldt officiating.
Interment was in the Ostrander Cemetery at North Port Wisconsin.
