Opal was born March 30, 1906 in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond and Flora Friedman Coleman. She came to Decatur in 1938. She married Emery S. Walden Nov. 11, 1938 in New Castle.
Survivors include Paul Olds and Carl Olds Jr. of Indianapolis, Herschel Olds and Eugene Walden, both of Decatur; two brothers, Ernest Coleman of Greenfield, Ind. and Nat Coleman of California; six grandchildren.
