Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Bowling, 89, widow of Lewis Bowling, died Wednesday evening at 7:00 in Cumberland Twp.
A native of Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Jesse Dickson Hummer, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fairfield. Her husband died in 1930.
Surviving are four children; Mrs. Roy Kane, Pikesville; Mrs. Daniel Johnson, Stony Creek, Md; Kenneth Bowling, Chambersburg St., and John Bowling, Gettysburg R5; 17 grandchildren a number of great grandchildren and a brother, Robert I Hummer, Norristown.
Funeral services Saturday morning with meeting at 8:30 in the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, to go to St. Mary's Catholic Church for the Requiem Mass at 9:00 at which Rev. Fr. Daniel Mahoney will officiate. Interment in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Fairfield.
