Frances Morgan, age 75, of Holliday, Passed away Friday, March 4, 2005, at 8:30 p.m. at her home in Holliday.
She was born in rural Monroe County on March 24, 1929, the daughter of Lewis Craig and Willa Mae Heathman Wilt.
On April 23, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elton L. Morgan in Shelbina. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Roxie Morgan of Holliday, Tracy Morgan and wife, Connie, of Madison, Craig Morgan and wife, Donna, of Holliday, and Lee Nora Morgan of Holliday; six grandchildren, Brett and Clark Morgan of Holliday, and Adam, Daniel, Mark and Emily Morgan of Madison; and one brother, William L. Wilt and wife, Elizabeth, of Brookfield.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Madison and the Paris Order of Eastern Star. She graduated from Shelbina High School in 1947 and attended Kirksville State Teachers College. She taught school at the Morman and the Callis Schools for several years. Her favorite hobbies included flower arranging, "Weed Day," gardening, and spending time with the grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday, March 6, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 7, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel by Rev. Randy Bergthold. Burial was in Shelbina Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Madison and Monroe City Sheltered Workshop.
