Funeral services for Mary Jane Carrigan Bennett, 82, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Louisville. She went to be with the Blessed mother Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She will be greatly missed by the many people who knew and loved her. She was a former employee of the Charlestown Ammunition Plant.
She is survived by her daughters Kathy Niemann and her husband, Terry, and Beverly Shane and her husband, Emmett, both of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Bill Niemann and his wife, Tiffany, Karisa Harbin and her husband, Michael, Sarah Phillips and her husband, Scott, Jessica Crane and her husband, Jason, Dax Ogden and Emmett Shane III; nine great-grandchildren; her beloved sister-in-law, Connie Pace; and dear friend, Joyce Kamenish.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Clayton Bennett and son, Gregory Bennett.
