Leo Frances MacAulay, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away March 31, 2011, surrounded by his loving family and friends after a long illness.

Leo was born February 25, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late James Michael MacAulay and Therese Helena Monahan MacAulay.

He graduated of Bishop England High School and Trident Technical College.

Leo was a Master Carpenter, long line fisherman and was the primary supervisor during construction of the original East Cooper Hospital

He is survived by his brothers, James Michael MacAulay and wife, Martha, of Raleigh, NC, William Vincent MacAulay of Birmingham, AL, Sean Hugh MacAulay and wife, Cindy, of Mt. Pleasant, Neil Anthony MacAulay of Charlotte, NC and Brian Timothy MacAulay and Stacey Johnson of Charleston; sisters, Kathleen Therese Keene of Eutawville, SC, Judith Russell MacAulay and husband, Talmadge Russell MacAulay, of Goose Creek, SC and Maureen Kotos and husband, Michael Kotos, of Summerville, SC; nine nieces and nephews; several great-nephews and nieces and his faithful dog, Trouble.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas E. MacAulay.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ Our King Catholic Church April 5, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
