Born January 24, 1928, in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of Leo A. Monahan and Helena Schargel Monahan.
Mrs. MacAulay received her Masters in English at Avila College in Kansas City, MO. She was also a retired certified public accountant with Palmetto Ford and a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church.
She was the widow of James Michael MacAulay and is survived by her six sons, James Michael MacAulay, Jr., and wife, Martha of Raleigh, NC, William Vincent MacAulay of Birmingham, AL, Leo Frances MacAulay of Mt. Pleasant, Sean Hugh MacAulay and wife, Cindy of Mt. Pleasant, Neil Anthony MacAulay of Charlotte, NC, Brian Timothy MacAulay and Stacey Johnson of Charleston; three daughters, Kathleen Therese Keene of Eutawville, SC, Judith Eileen MacAulay and Talmadge Russell of Goose Creek, SC, and Maureen MacAulay Kotos and husband Michael of Summerville; ten grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Sean, Shannon, Ashley, Amber, Kaitlin, Megan, J.T., Kenny and one on the way; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Thomas E. MacAulay.
