Martin Burch Dies in Waterloo Home

Martin M. Burch, 82, died Thursday evening of last week at his home in Waterloo, where he had operated a grocery store for the past twenty years.

Mr. Burch was born in Steuben county and after his marriage in 1879 to Detta Woodcox, they resided in the vicinity of Metz for many years, moving from there to Coesse. Mr. Burch operated a grocery store there and conducted a harness shop, and at the same time practiced his profession of 52 years, that of veterinary surgeon. For the past several years, he confined his attention to his grocery store in Waterloo, where he has lived for the past twenty years.

Surviving are the wife, and five children. Mrs. Clara Taylor of Monclova, Ohio; Meda Pillsbury, Angola; Marie Fee, at home; Virginia Burch, of Chicago; and Floyd Burch, of Prescott, Ariz.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon in Waterloo with burial in South Scott cemetery near Angola.
