Cancer claimed the life of Mrs. Detta Burch, an aged Waterloo resident, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marie Fee, in Waterloo Monday morning. Services were held at the Ettinger funeral home in Waterloo Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Mason Buckner, pastor of the Methodist church at Spencerville, officiating. Burial was made in South Scott cemetery, east of Angola.

Mrs. Burch, 82 years of age, had been in poor health for three years. She was born at Antwerp, O., on Dec. 26, 1862, and had been a resident of Waterloo 20 years. She was married to Martin Burch, now dead. She was a member of the Methodist church. The surviving relatives are five children; Mrs. Clara Taylor of Monclova, O.; Mrs. Meda Pillsbury of Angola; Virgil Burch of Berwyn, Ill; Floyd Burch of Prescott, Ariz.; and Mrs. Fee, and whose home Mrs. Burch died; one half-brother, Frank Woodcox of Battle Creek, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Cresse of Los Angeles, and five grandchildren.
