Mrs. Lunn, widow of the late B.F. Lunn, Esq, died last Thursday at the home of her daughter (should say son), at Petra Mills, aged 66 years. She was the mother of our townsman, W.H. Smith. We extend to the family of the deceased our sympathy.

Mrs. Melvina Lunn, widow of the late B. F. Lunn, of Davie County, died at the residence of her son, Harmon Smith, at Petra Mills, Caldwell county, on the 28th on September. She was about 68 years old, and had been married twice, her first husband being Esq. W. O. Smith. She was the mother of Mrs. Claud Y. Miller, of this place. She was a devout christian and a most excellent woman. She had fought a good fight, finished her course and God has called her to Himself.
