Ann Marie "Nancy" Gallagher
Ann Marie "Nancy" Gallagher, 83, of Heritage Heights, formerly of Minersville, passed away peacefully Saturday at her residence.
Born in New Philadelphia, March 29, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Anne McLaughlin Flannery.
She was the widow of Joseph Gallagher, who passed away March 27, 1992.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville, and the former St. Vincent De Paul Church. She was also a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church Choir and Young Hearts Club, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and County Schuylkill Ceili Dancers. Nancy loved her Irish heritage, song and dance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; an infant daughter, Regina, on April 1, 1958; beloved sister, Kitty "Dee Dee" Trabosh; brothers, Martin Flannery, and John and James McHale; a beloved son-in-law, Butch Petrusky.
Nancy is survived by six daughters, Roseann Petrusky, Heritage Heights, Mary Anne, wife of Doug McMillan, Mechanicsburg, Theresa, wife of Joseph Yurkonis, Frackville, Marie, wife of Andrew Reiley, Pottsville, Joanne, wife of Dave Penny, Westminster, Md., and Rita Gallagher, Heritage Heights; two sons, Michael, husband of Karen Gallagher, Center Valley, and Thomas Gallagher and wife, Gina Yurkonis, Rixeyville, Va.; grandchildren, Joseph Petrusky, Katie, Emily and Michael Gallagher, Joseph Allen and wife, Ashley, Andrew, Steven and Theresa Erin Yurkonis, Shannon and Liam James Reiley, Liam Walter and Ella Penny.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Minersville, with the Rev. Adam C. Sedar officiating. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, and from 7 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Vincent De Paul No. 2 Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to St. Michael Memorial Fund or The Greenhouse at The Avenues. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with arrangements.
