She was married to Halbert C. Burch, July 22, 1860, and to them were born four sons, Martin M., Eugene, Lorenzo, and Chester. Deceased and her husband united with the Church of Christ at Metz, Ind., in early life where they remained faithful to their Christian duty. On Oct. 31, 1872, the husband and father was killed by his horses running away in the woods and throwing him against a tree inflicting injuries which proved fatal in a few hours. The mother was thus left with four sons to care for.
Deceased has suffered much pain for several months of cancer which caused her death. Her four sons, thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five sisters, one brother and many other relatives and friends mourn her departure. She was a loving mother, a good neighbor and a kind friend.
