CARL SEGO
Carl Sego, 75, formerly of Meadville, died Wednesday at Heartland West Hospital, St. Joseph. He had been a resident of Tiffany Square Convalescent Center, St. Joseph.
He was born Jan. 27, 1913, in Richmond, son of Charles Walter and Carrie (Parson) Sego. He and Beulah Harrison were married in 1935. She survives, of the home in Meadville. Also surviving are eight sons, Raymond Sego, St. Joseph, Charles and James Sego, both of Meadville, William and Lloyd Sego, both of Chillicothe, Larry Sego, Browns Mills, NJ, Earl Sego of Germay and Jerry Sego, St. Joseph; four daughters, Thelma Edwards, Independence, Diane Young, Sibley, Helen Derrickson, Ft. Gibson, Okla., and Beulah Sego, Meadville; one sister, Sylvia Osborn, Oakland, Calif.; 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, three brothers and a son.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Meadville, with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at Wright Funeral home, Meadville; the family will receive friends there from 7 to 8 tonight. He had been a CCC camp worker, a farmer and a railroader.
