George Bargamin called upon several men to assist him in moving the remains of Pvt. John B. Symington from the Soldiers Section to the Bargamin family lot. Symington, a member of the Richmond Grays killed at Malvern Hill 1 July 1862, had worked for Bargamin before the war and had been one of his favorites. His remains were tenderly reinterred amidst the graves of several other soldiers Bargamin had befriended.
