Barbara Jean Vadnais Ovard, 80, of Idaho Falls died Monday, January 24, 2011, at the Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Care Center in Idaho Falls. She was born on February 12, 1930, at Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Alred Vadnais and Laverne Louise Behling. Barbara spent her Childhood years in Kilgore where she was one of 12 children helping on the family ranch. She attended elementary school in Kilgore and graduated from High School as the class Valedictorian in 1948. After high school she attended Idaho State University for a brief time. In 1952 she met and married Robert Ovard, who shared her birthday. Barbara lived in Idaho Falls where she raised three wonderful children. She loved gardening, crocheting, and reading. She was known as a devoted wife, a loving Mother, and caring Sister. Barbara was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Idaho Falls for 50 years.
Survivors include her three children, Robert James Ovard of Idaho Falls; Bonnie Finlayson of Idaho Falls; Sherri (Bryan) Moyers of Yukosuka, Japan, three brothers, Ted, Charles & Ed Vadnais; four sisters Dorothy Craig; Eleanor Rose, Elna Gibbs & Ailene Stoddard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her Brother Tom and Sisters Maxine, Lois, & Shirley.
